I loved this challenge! I hit the Goodwill on fifty percent off day and filled my basket.

This is what I started with:
A full length skirt that hit the tops of my feet (I think it was supposed to be mid-calf but I have stumpy legs) $2.50
A medium sized cable knit sweater 50%cotton/50%viscose $2.50
Great sexy shoes that actually fit me (rare in thrift shops) $2.00
A man's extra large t-shirt $1.00
Total: $8.00
The sweater got unravelled.

I used about one and a half of these balls of yarn to crochet a tank top. The skirt had to be hemmed about five inches, and now that I'm seeing these pictures I'm thinking I could go another inch or two. I used the t-shirt to line the tank top. The shoes weren't changed at all, but they're totally cute and sexy, so they belong to the outfit.

I might make a shrug to go with it since I have tons of the yarn left.
Here's a close up of the lace pattern:

Things I would do differently?
I would change the shape to add a bit more coverage to la cleavage.
I'd start a lot sooner so I wouldn't have to spend a day straight crocheting to hit the deadline.
