so I got a freebie table from my mom that was scratched and ugly. In all my young college glory I painted it black with a ugly blue striped box in the middle
So its time to move out again after moving home and I CANT STAND this thing anymore. I need a new idea. I dont want to leave it plain black. I plan to sand it and repaint the base color black (matches the chairs). The kitchen is a coffee cafe type thing. Any ideas?

How about a pale, distressed top with added, fake, coffee rings? Or does that appeal only to me?

Humm, fake coffee rings. I could do them artistically on the edges in a light brown then smudge them a bit. I could like this LOL
