Wow, Pinkleo you've been crafting up a storm!

I looked at the list of all we've posted so far and realize 1.  We are doing good things under our SPEW umbrella and 2. I have been neglectful in my posting here.  SPEW Resolooo: Post more frequently to share in the momentum.

I've just been finishing up some straggling Holiday projects and then it's time to fondle the new yarns for new projects- yay!  I was knitting all through the new year and now my left thumb is S-O-R-E! so I'll take a few days to rest it up.

We are doing great things.  And you haven't been neglectful one bit; the holidays is always a crazy time.  I have the same resolution, to devote more time to my SPEW work.  First step was devoting my OWL to SPEW, which is fab & fun & motivational.  Second step is to devote a day to charity crafting...I'm thinking Sunday.

OUCH!  Knitter thumb is painful!  Hope your thumb feels better soon! Kiss

[/quote]

Thanks, Pinkleo! The thumb (and wrist muscles) feel good enough to play with yarn again- but in smaller time blocks.  I may have marathoned a wee bit too much for the ol' small motor skills system!  Shocked
As for my neglectful posting comment, while I do resolve to charity craft more than I was doing pre-holiday, I also know that  I did a couple of SPEW inspired crafts for the HPCAL that never got posted over here. Bad crafter! Bad crafter! Share the motivation!  Wink

I love your OWL project, (And am increasingly jealous of your apparently endless and beautiful stash!) it's a great way to reach out and learn new techniques at the same time.  That's partly why I wanted to do the wee NICU outfits- I'm not terribly skilled in the clothing department. I made one sweater once that would have been fabulous- for Flat Stanley!

OK, back to the chores so I can get back to the yarning!

Have a great weekend, Everybody!

I do have a ridiculous amount of stashed yarn, which is why I'm in desperate need of a destash....you know, so I have room to stash new & wondrous yarn. Cool

And to show I have way too much time on my hands (which I love because starting Tuesday it is back to teaching), here are 14 more PRR Stashdown Squares.  I turned these in for the HPC Horcrux Hunt plus SPEW Bonus. Grin

Those colors!
May I ask what brands/fibers you've been using?  I'm destashing, too, mostly I have wool blends and acrylics.  Right now I am battling an abundance of Fun Fur. (It seemed like a good idea at the time!)

Most are Vanna, Caron SS, Red Heart, I Love This Yarn, and Wool-ease.  I have a bin of fun fur too....not my fault, my SIL gave me a bunch.  I've seen some ideas on how to use it up....edging on baby hats and booties...and the one I'm thinking of doing is a ripple ghan (destash ghan if possible)....here's pics for inspiration (all ravelry)

I feel such kinship- we are They Who HAve Been Abused By Fun-Fur!

I found it is MUCH easier to knit than crochet and am now making a "Monster Pillow" fro my nephew for Valentine's Day. And then Never Again!

Although, Ma says never say never so... Unlikely again!

I've been making squares for PRR. I have four 12-inch and two more 6-inch completed.

I'm off work tomorrow, so I plan to mail two packages to knit-a-square.

I *know* you all have stashes you are all using up, and I think that's awesome!  But, just in case any of you need to find something to supplement your stash in a medium-larger charity project, I just wanted to let you all know that I found a bunch of Lion Brand Homespun at my Michael's today, reduced down to $2.99 a skein.  I ended up picking up 6 skeins, to work into two afghans I'm hoping to make by next Christmas.  I'm going to have to wait for other coordinating colors of the yarn to go on sale since I refuse to pay full price for it, but I have plenty of time.  Smiley  Keep up the awesome work ladies!

Oh you, you vixen of found fiber, you! Now I'll "just happen to be in the neighborhood" of my Michael's later, you know, just to look around...

*Goes to look under the bed and in the closets and in that cupboard over there to see if there's room for new fiber friends...*
