pinkleo, what wonderful squares! I love the multi-colored bobbles.

What is the Pine Ridge Reservation? Is it local to you? I've never heard of it.
I need to switch over to making some pet beds for the animal shelter once I finish up a few more things for knit-a-square.
Thanks! Pine Ridge Reservation is in South Dakota (I'm in Texas). Pine Ridge Reservation is the poorest spot in the USA. The average life expectancy for residents is only 47 for males and early 50s for women. The unemployment rate is 90% and the teen suicide rate is four times the national average. Basics such as running water, heat and food are scarce for many residents let alone jobs and health care. These challenges are particularly difficult to deal with given the geographical isolation of the Rez and the incredibly harsh climate. The
Afghans for Pine Ridge group collects blankets and squares. There is also other groups who do items for Pine Ridge. If one was interested & on ravelry, then I would check out the
Bundles of Joy group; in their pages, they have info on many of the ways to help the community of Pine Ridge.
I can't wait to see your pet beds. I have Crafty ADD so I like to switch up what I'm doing quite often....never get bored when I'm charity crafting.

Wow, Pinkleo you've been crafting up a storm!
I looked at the list of all we've posted so far and realize 1. We are doing good things under our SPEW umbrella and 2. I have been neglectful in my posting here. SPEW Resolooo: Post more frequently to share in the momentum.
I've just been finishing up some straggling Holiday projects and then it's time to fondle the new yarns for new projects- yay! I was knitting all through the new year and now my left thumb is S-O-R-E! so I'll take a few days to rest it up.
I hope everyone is enjoying the start of the New Year!
It does look like a storm has hit my living room, with oddballs and squares here, there, & everywhere.

We are doing great things. And you haven't been neglectful one bit; the holidays is always a crazy time. I have the same resolution, to devote more time to my SPEW work. First step was devoting my OWL to SPEW, which is fab & fun & motivational. Second step is to devote a day to charity crafting...I'm thinking Sunday.
OUCH! Knitter thumb is painful! Hope your thumb feels better soon!
