I realize there's no handmade component to my bags. But the discount fabric store is 40% off this weekend so I will get some fleece and make scarves and mittens for the next set of bags. Of course, it's about 70 degrees here today but it will get cooler next week.

PLEASE ask me for some fabric - I have way too much. It's yours, free, for the cost of postage.

Even without handmade, you did personally put those bags together, and provide such fab inspiration. Kiss

Smmarrt, nicely done!  Those are very thoughtful packages.

I've managed to make up one 7x9 inch square for WUA- I finished a Holiday throw Christmas gift and had some yarn left over so I made the square before I put everything away. It is nice how quickly they can work up and I'm lovin' not having to "care and feed" for pygmy puff sized yarn balls for the rest of my life! haha.  Once I have a few more I'll post a pick before dropping them off at Michaels to be sewn up with others.

Happy Crafting!

Wow, it's been ages since I thought I'd "whip up" some more WUA patches, but I am plugging along in any case.
I'll be dropping off 3 or 4 on Sunday, and I have a more challenging S.P.E.W. project percolating in my mind that I will be starting once I finish the Christmas Crafts.

I hope everyone is having a great start to December, and to those who celebrate Hanukkah I wish you not only a Happy Holiday but also a speedy finish to any last minute gift crafting!

Kiss Ant Bee!  After my baby hats, I haven't SPEW crafted Undecided, but plan on starting right up the day after Xmas. Grin

Ah, Pinks, you have a fine collection of hats for S.P.E.W. and we all know how Dobby loves wearing many hats!  Once the Holiday Crafting, swapping (and organizing of said crafting and swapping!) settles down for you I am sure that House elves will once again be dodging plenty of well meaning crafts around the common rooms.   Cheesy

I'm down to the wire myself on the gifty crafts... so tempting to simply start a fresh S.P.E.W. one when I get bogged down with WiPs... I still haven't figured out the logic there, but it's true.  Somehow it seems quite the right thing to do- "Argh, I have too many half done-crafts craving my attention. Hey, I know! I'll go ahead and start another one. Well, it's being so nice and quiet over there in the "untouched yarn" section of this mess it deserves to be made!"  Huh

I'm new to the group. I seem to craft for charity at least half of the time anymore, so I figured this would be a good group to join. Smiley

One of my recent donations is 6 hats and a scarf for the homeless, all made with yarn from leftover projects.

I also donate a lot of pet beds to the local animal shelter. Pictures of those can be found on this thread: http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=392245.0

I'm looking forward to getting more ideas of things to craft to donate!

Hi and welcome to SPEW NisForNeville!  I love your items for the homeless; I know they greatly appreciated!  And the pet beds are fabulous!!!  I'm a big charity crafter too; it always lifts my spirit.

Well I've went through the list and decided that knit a square seems to be a good fit for me. I've already finished two 8" squares tonight. I learned a new pattern, which is always good! I'll post a picture once I finish more squares. My goal is to make 12 before I send them off.
