5 more shields for Day for Girls.  I'm going to try and finish within the next two weeks so I can mail my package out.
Great volunteer work jenleahlynn!! I also love all the crochet/knit squares!

i saw the link to operation write home on the spew home page, and i hadn't heard of that one before so i checked it out. for anyone else who hasn't checked them out, they collect handmade cards and distribute them to servicemen and women overseas to use when mailing notes home to their families. they also accept cards written as encouragement for 'any serviceman'.

the rubber stamp i requested to mark the back of my cards came in the mail today. i also looked over their guidelines, and i found the before and after pictures on their pinterest page very helpful in creating interesting, well done note cards. i'm planning to start with 10 blank cards, and to have my kids do any serviceman cards.

i'm also thinking about talking to some freinds at church who make cards to see if they would be interested in having a card party to create a batch. i really like this idea. i hadn't occured to me as something to include when our church put together gift packages at christmas.

Jenleahlynn, I also want to get involved with that charity and sent away for the stamp- thanks for the info about their Pintrest page, I'll check it out in a bit!
I'm following along in the 2013 De-Stash thread and I haven't quite gotten my space cleared enough to start on any projects, but this thread has some really great ideas to help others out and to de-stash at the same time!

Sorry for being so quiet; I've been ill and trying to keep up.  But I'm on the mend (or at least as much as I'm going to get). THANK YOU for your SPEW work! Kiss

Get well soon pinkleo!

I haven't forgotten to get pictures of the heart pillows I made from http://www.heartpillow.dk/ .  But I've been busy lately, so hopefully I'll get them up soon.

My teen knitting group has really taken off. I bought some Kniffty Knitters, and the teens love making hats on them. I've been approved by two school districts, and I set it up so the teens can come into the library at anytime and make items for charity.

Here's what they've made in the past 2 months.

Eiseldora what a great project!  What a go-getter.  Involving students and helping them to learn both the love of crafting and charity, 3 cheers for you!

I've finished my OWL, so here are the last squares that you guys haven't seen.

I told my mom what I was working on, and she did some stashbusting too. She gave me 24 squares to send! Between the two of us, we sent (well, I'll be off to the PO tomorrow at lunch) 108 squares!
