A lot of you, happily, are Whovians and will know the great Cap'n Jack Harkness played by the wonderful John Barrowman.  I am currently crocheting a little Cap'n Jack doll.  I have everything important except his hair...Here he is:

My problem is, of course, his famed sticky-uppy hair...How do I make his hair sticky-uppy like the Cap'n? Here is an example which shows the hair really well:

So, my amazing crochet friends, what do you think? What do you suggest for my going about making his hair all sticky-uppy?

I figured out how to do it! Well, my mom suggested something and it actually worked! Shes not a crafter but she knows ironing and with that she knows starching...I cut up pieces for the hair and was able to soak them in starch and them place them to dry on a paper towel.  Then, when I put them on the doll, they were sticky-uppy! YAY! So thanks everyone who looked, my Cap'n Jack is nearly complete I think!
