LOL! I think you need to send your fiance on a quest...

And, I need to find my "superhero" yarn! Somewhere, I have a project started with it... I really should finish that up...

I've started on my GDs, I have 10 done so far, with their inner tails woven in! Plus an extra for me, because the outer tail is only ~4" long.

I used to measure the tails to make sure that I had them at 6" exactly, and then I got lazy, so now I just (over) estimate and cut the yarn. But, like you, if any are too short, they're mine (insert lighting strike and evil, maniacal laughter here)!

And, tomorrow night, after I re-make some note cards that got eaten by the mail machines somewhere between here and Canada, I'll start looking at partner match-ups so I can get them out ASAP on Saturday afternoon (it'll be a nice break from getting ready for school Wink ).

Here's a tip I pass on to my students: most crochet hooks are about 6" long.  That's what I use to make sure my tails are long enough. ^_^

(Of course, once I realized this, I went about measuring just about everything I normally carry with me.  Apparently I will go to great lengths not to carry a measuring tape with me. Tongue)

LOL Glad I'm not the only one who has done that!  I've actually considered carving or painting a measuring tape into the edge of my crafting desk, but it was the first really nice piece of furniture I bought as an adult, so every time I consider it, I can hear my mom's voice fussing at me about wanting to "destroy" it =oP

Good to know mio! I never thought about using the hook as a measuring guide!

And, lissablair, to save the furniture (and you from mom's voice in your head), you could just tape down a measuring tape to the edge of your desk (one of the ones you use for sewing). If you think it'll be in the way, you could tape it to the front edge rather than the desk top itself.

Partners are posted!

I'm working on sending out information now. You should get a separate PM for each partner. If you don't get information that matches the list, please let me know ASAP (the list has the correct matchups Smiley ).

Yaaaaay partners!  I've just got a few more left to make to fulfill color requests ^_^  I'm sitting with DH's grandmother tonight, so I should have everything packaged up and ready to ship Monday morning Cheesy

Excellent! If I had looked at partners last night like I planned (I somehow overdid it while cleaning & organizing my classroom science closet and my back was raging!), I would have been able to send today. Instead, I'll try to get to the PO on Monday, Tuesday or Thursday.

YEA!! Partners! I just have a few new  ones to whip up for color requests but thats ok cuz I can keep the ones I already made!

On another note I found the tub of yarn, in the back corner of the garage under six other boxes. Gotta love that man. He knows I'm not letting myself buy new yarn until at least one of the tubs I already own is emptied.

He asked, and I said yes.
I'm looking for Home Interiors resin butterflies, and License plates from other states. PM me for swap info. I love to swap.
