Jealous! I'd have to drive about an hour and a half to Hobby Lobby. I've been itching to go since it opened "near" me, but haven't been able to time it right. I do like their yarn!

I was so thrilled when it opened here!  I actually have to have a Hobby Lobby allowance built into our monthly budget, or else I'd go crazy  Embarrassed

My mom and I took a road trip to Poughkeepsie, NY one Thanksgiving weekend to visit one (it was like a 3 hour drive), and I had a list of 5 things I was looking for, and I found exactly what I wanted. Then, in February, I visited her in FL and we took another road trip to go to one. In the town where she lives, there was a new plaza being built, and we joked that we hoped it would be a Hobby Lobby. She called a couple of weeks later to say that's what it would really be. It'll be the closest one... when I travel to FL Wink

But, I'm almost afraid to head into there now, because I buy more because I can't get it anywhere else, so I stock up. I'll need to bring an extra suitcase! Or, I could just take a drive up to NH... and load up the trunk Wink

I'm up to 19 different colors for each partner. If I'm to mae it all the way to 40 by the time signups end, I need to pick up the pace a bit. Today, I'll put away the stack of yarn sitting beside me on the sofa and dig out some more colors. I'll be surprised if I actually have 40 different colors in my stash. But considering that I had 15 colors (as it turned out) within reach of the sofa, I may just have enough packed into the yarn cubby to reach my goal.

If not, that means I need to go shopping to fill in the gaps in my stash Grin

I made another 2 dozen (8 for each of my partners and 8 for me). I've been watching an old series, "Midsomer Murders," while working on them. But, I've really got to get off of the sofa and get some things done around the house. My lawn is in desperate need of cutting, so I need to finally unbox the new mower and assemble it... so I can cut the grass tomorrow. Mostly, I need to get the box cut up for the recycling pickup tomorrow.

So tonight, after I get a bit of stuff done around the house, I'll dig out another pile of yarn and hopefully get another set of colors done!

That brings me up to 27 different colors (or shades)! Only 13 more colors to go Smiley

Woo! ^_^  I don't have quite -that- many colors yet, but I've been chugging right along on them ^_^  I got quite a few done last night while I was staying with DH's grandmother.  Smiley

Well, instead of unboxing the lawn mower, I decided to dig out some more yarn. Turns out I have more than 40 colors (although I bet fantasticmio might have more Smiley ). I've finished making the last batch, and now I need to weave in the tails.

But, I really do need to get stuff ready for the recycling pickup tomorrow...

I finished! Forty colors for each partner (and I can substitute colors, if needed because, as it turns out, I still have a few colors/shades I haven't used). I'm not sure if I'll have 1 or 2 partners (I am allergy dependent Sad ), so I could end up with an extra batch for myself (or save them in case of an angel emergency Smiley ).

But, now that I'm ready, I can focus on some other things. I admit I got a bit obsessed about A) Finishing before sign-ups (and summer vacation) ended and B) Pulling together 40 colors.

Now, I think I'll focus the camera and take a picture of the bunch.

And then I'll really start working on those things I should have been working on... Grin

ADDchick- I never thought of doing 40 colors! I'm sure I could do it, if I could find the other tub of yarn. I'm sure my finace hid from me. LOL.

I'm done for now though. 5 each in 8 different colors.  I can always whip up a few more if there is color issues with my partners.
I found the skein of "superhero" yarn, I don't think I've made anything but GD's with. lol And I noticed I've never made any for myself. Off to make some for myself.
