Bleach pen attempt

I've been wanting to try doing something with a bleach pen for a long time but couldn't get around to it until this weekend. This is a really fun processes! I know a lot of people use freezer paper (which I didn't have) or free hand (which I don't have the skill for), but I just used regular paper for my stencil and used a box cutter to cut the pattern out. It worked pretty well in my opinion and I can't wait to make more.

Good Job!  I, too, have been wanting to try this.  I love the varying colors in the bleached area.  If I could be sure mine would turn out as great as yours...

This turned out great! A bleach pen projects is on my list of craft to do's, so it might have to move up on my list!

I did this and drew angel wings on the back of a teeshirt. Your flower came out much better!

The varying colors was due to me starting the bleach in one spot and working circular back towards that spot and then letting it sit there for about 5 minutes total- making the beginning point having the bleach stay on for an extended period, etc...

Thank you all for the kind words. I plan on making many more, just can't figure out what to do next, maybe a bunch of my favorite quotes.

I've heard that you can use soft scrub...it's thick and stays where you put it. You have to transfer it to a bottle with a smaller tip for fine work.

I like the variatio nof color in the bleached area. Looks intentional and is a nice effect. Don't you love it when the first try comes out so cool?
