Hi All!

I'm starting a quilt for a friend's wedding in November, and was hoping you could help me with finding coordinating fabrics!

I'm planning on making this quilt:

Her sister says that this line works the best with her room:

But I would like to add a few more fabrics than the line has.

Do you have any recommendations for coordinates that might work? I'm pretty bad at figuring them out for myself (which is why I try to buy things in a set!), and I'm hoping you lovely Craftsters can give me a hand!

Thanks so much!

I would probably just add in solids of each of the main colors--a brown, turquiose, orange, and maybe tan or cream.

I agree--there is plenty of pattern in the set already...fabrics that read solid would be my choice...I would pick the cream to replace the white...the bark looking fabric reads solid to me and it is brown already, so I would go with the pale turquoise and the coral/orange color as the "solids"...I would not use real solids except for maybe the cream background...I prefer textured or all over patterned solids...

It is going to be lovely...

Thank you both so much!

I ordered the set, and will look for solids (or solid-look) fabrics that coordinate when it gets here. I forgot to mention that the background is going to be a light tan (assuming it coordinates well). I'll show you the results when I'm done (fingers crossed, before the wedding in November).

Thank you again!

I loved that quilt...I can't wait to see it done either!

Can you provide a link or give credit to the original quiltmaker?

alwaysinmyroom: I'm not sure who the original quiltmaker was, but the pattern is from Dear Stella, and is available here: http://dearstelladesign.com/projects/palladium-diamonds/

Hope that helps Smiley

Edited to add: According to the pattern the quilt was designed by Missy Shepler.

Thank you!  I have never made a diamond design...I have just finished my 25 quilt blocks for a swap, so I think I might give this one a try next!
