Here is a cute hoop I made for my partner in the Put a Bird on It swap.  I got the image from Needlecrafter and transferred it onto the fabric.  Everything is stitched in backstitch, lazy dasies and french knots.  It is in a 7in hoop which I pained the edges white and put ribbon along the sides.

This was my very first time using lazy daises and I FINALLY figured out french knots!

This is how I finished the back.   Sadly, it came out a bit sloppy.   I usually add stuffing to the back to make the piece pop a bit, then use a running stitch to pull all the excess fabric into the hoop.   After that, I use a little bit of Alieene's fabric glue on the hoop and edge of fabric to glue scrapbooking paper down.   This time I had a brand new tube of glue and I think I used way too much and also, the paper was thinner than I usually use.  :-/   So, I have the greasy looking staining on the paper.

C+C welcomed!

Very cute! And I think the adorable paper makes up for the excess glue. Smiley
