Friendly Giants Dog Rescue and New Orleans Lab Rescue.
I have this idea for a fundraiser for both rescues for Christmas, I would like to make sock advent calendar each calendar has 25 socks numbered 1-25 and my plan is to get 50 + single socks handmade I attatch of them to a rope and fill them with goodies (treats, toys) for dogs, then I want to sell tickets for a raffle and the winner gets the calendar and each rescue gets the money
not sure if it’s a stupid idea, but I really belive we can raise money like that
my question to you, would any of you be interested in knitting one sock? adult size
( would fit more treats) I would need 50 + single socks.
please please let me know if you can make one and donate it to me for the fundraiser raffle.

OK I have thought about it and I think I can go with 25 knitted socks and 25 sewn sock ,mittens and baggies ( Handmade) be creative, the once that would like to help and don’t knit can help out with sewing them the size not to big and not to small, I have bought tennisballs, kong toys, stuffed toys some are the size of an orange, some are the size of a pop can, so thats about the awerage size I need.
I would like to start this project soon, have about 6 knittet socks comming that I know of, but my addres is on ravelry to so hopefully I can get the 25 of each I think I would like to have the projecvt finished by september, so there will be enough time to have the ticket sale and have the draw maeby end of october, so I can mail the calendar out so they reach the winner by december 1st.
also I'm looking for the fillings for the socks, dog treats, toys anything a dog will love.
tickets will be on sale as soon as the project is finished, beginning of october,
So I would need the socks by early september.
also looking for new toys, treat and everything else for dogs to fill in the socks, mitts and bags, monetary donations (to buy toys, treats) also welcome.thank you
