I received my tiny house from Lesliehappyheart today! And it is gorgeous. You will all have to wait in suspense to see it though since it's too dark to take photos right now.

ooops, I fotgot to say "Thank You!"  (where are my manners?)

RougeRaven- I really love what you made for me, it is totally my style and it will have a place of honor, I am not sure if you intended it to be a pincushion or just a cute stuffie, either way I am going to put it up somewhere so not pointy objects or messy, sticky, kiddy fingers can muss it up...Thx again:)

BTW- I am loving everyone else's tiny house and I agree this swap should definately be repeated and not ended until we all have tiny house villages:)

"muddy21" I'm so glad you like the Altered tin & the TCM patch! Wink You could put another velcro on a flower or something like that to cover up the black velcro.   You said you like TCM Patches in your questionnaire. This was the first time I used clay, so it's not the greatest, but the ruffness make it look homey I think. It was fun making it for you.

"Deece" very cute zippered pouch &  I love the back quote!! Cheesy

Aw shucks! I'm so glad you like it! It was intended to be a pin cushion, then I considered tacking a ribbon loop onto it to be hung up. Inevitably, I couldn't make up my mind so I thought I'd leave it for you to decide =)

I'm back home and in front of my computer!

What did you use to put the patterns onto it?

All printouts from my computer.  I designed everything from the house to the heart flowers to the window boxes in Illustrator.

you must be a master of the exacto, micro.

ha, I buy #11 blades in bulk (you can get the on ebay in boxes of 100 -- pick and choose the seller and they are wayyyyy cheaper than buying them somewhere like Michael's).

The trick to cutting out wee stuff is replacing your blade long before you think it's time. Without counting blades used on failed bits of this project, I probably went through 5 or 6 blades on the pieces used in the final house... the "dull" blades would have been fine for the big parts (the house itself), but not the hearts.  Counting the failed bits of this project, I probably went through 10 blades.

The blades I toss would be fine for lots of stuff (and I have a cache of them for less detailed bits), but I just can't cut tiny bits without a super-fresh blade.

I usually know it's time to switch blades when I start getting really irritated with cutting.  Cheesy

I love all the little plushy houses -- soooooo adorable and squishy!

And the wood-burned house is awesome -- I completely want one of the Rustic Way houses!

The beaded necklace with its surprise 3-Dness? Freakishly wee fun.

The beach house is achingly lovely -- such a fabulous wee interpretation/design of the original full-size inspiration. <3
