I took a cooking class without an oven, and we learned how to make microwave chocolate cake and grilled cheese sandwiches--with an iron! I'd never heard of it until now. You just take the sandwich and press it with the iron. Next time I'd use regular-cut-from-the-block cheese instead of those Kraft singles. They have a kind of funny taste and texture, but that's just me. What do you think?

When you press the sandwich with the iron, it gets flat. Overall, it was really yummy. And buttery. Because, you know, you have to add lots of butter.  Wink

Have you ever made it? You should. If you want to know how, you can go here: http://chewynoodles.blogspot.com/2011/10/ironed-grilled-cheese-sandwich.html

Thanks for stopping by! C & c welcome!  Grin

Lol....I have always wanted to iron a grilled cheese sammich!
I can't imagine getting that butter off the iron though...
And about the Kraft cheese...I think that stuff should be illegal.
I can't believe children are feed that stuff, especially in educational institutions. Yuck!

HAAAAAAAAAAA this is hilarious! I actually just had a grilled cheese sandwich because I was craving earlier. Unfortunately for my badass factor, I am much more likely to have a frying pan on hand rather than an iron. womp womp.

In which I do it my own damn self (DIMODS?): http://ellipsus.blogspot.com/

I am surprised no one mentioned Mr. Mom way before Benny and Joon. That was the original grilled cheese sammich!

And here I thought irons were only for waffles on Holiday Inn Express commercials!  Wink
