I tried a tute I saw here about using two men's t-shirts to make a drapey/cowl-neck dress.  The dress I made was a total flop- my roommate said it looked like "dress up time at the sanitarium".  Tongue

So I took made a tube top out of the top, cream shirt and set it all aside.

After a trip to the thrift store I found a dress with a pattern I liked. The dress was waaaay too big and the pattern was just too much for a whole dress. So I snipped the top from the bottom and sewed the skirt to the tube top with a length of elastic.

C&C welcome!!
