No idea what to call it, but anyway, I  found a pattern I really love from a crochet magazine, which is way too small to fit me.

This pattern fits a 80cm bust, (31.5 in), but I need to it to fit my size which is roughly 44inches.

Any idea how to enlarge it? I am not that great with pattern, and this is actually the first clothing I want to make.

And thank you in advance for all the help!

Looks like a really lightweight yarn like fingering or doubleknit. If you move up to worsted and a larger hook, you might end up with something workable. It would take some experimentation to figure out what size hook would give you the gauge you need.

Otherwise, if you'd rather keep the light yarn, you'll have to either add a repeat somewhere in each row, or add a few rows, or both. Unfortunately, I have little experience with such a modification Sad

I hope you manage to figure it, as it is really a lovely little bolero/vest/thing.
