August 2012 Birthday Swap - Discussion and Gallery

Well, of course, I am a procrastinator!

But, I think I found a couple of things I can make over the long weekend!

I am claiming my friend and quilting buddy Maremare...

And, I found a couple of things for Eiseldora, whom I have not crafted for, but recently "met" when she shared the story of her poor damaged quilt!

Maybe a few gifties will cheer you up!

I'm having camera problems, but I did get a few pics of the awesome package I received from TroubleT! Thank you so much, T, and I'm sorry it's taken me so long to post photos.

The group shot of my awesome flower barettes didn't come out, so if you have a better one please post!
And this one did something weird too



Look how cleverly she covered the clip part with leaves! Love it! You can see the other colors in the background here, perfect with my dark hair!



And 7! skeins of my favorite yarn! She hit all my favorite colors, I love gray and didn't even know that this brand came in gray!

Your hair color is the same as mine and my daughter. When I bought the flowers for your clips, I had intended to use the extra flowers that I had leftover to make my youngest some clips for Christmas. She sneaked the flowers into her room to decorate her window when I wasn't paying attention. That sneak!

There's a scarf that I've made quite a few times for other people that I want to make one for me, it takes 4 strands of different colors. But I've gotten a bit of it now so am thinking of also maybe a bigger project. It just has the best hand feel, love working with it and using it!

I received from MareMare today.  I already hung it on my wall, so I took a pic from there.    Its a Chain Chomp hoop, inspired by one I had pinned on Pinterest, that loveandasandwich had made.  Its so cute!  And, a neat addition, is that the chain, is knitted or crocheted.  I thought that was a neat idea.    Thank you again, I love it.
