I was in a quilt shop on my birthday when I overheard one customer ask "Do you still have 30% off on your birthday?"  Let's just say that changed my whole outlook on my shopping experience that day!  I went back to the back room where they had all the Kaffe Fasset fabric displayed and picked up the 2011 charm pack.  They are 6 inch squares.  There wasn't quite enough to make the project I had in mind so I went to the bolts and picked out my favorite Kaffe yardage to mix in.  I was bound and determined to make a project only using one line.  Just to see if I could.

Imagine my surprise when I went to cut into the yardage and discovered that, although it was on the Kaffe shelf, it was another fabric company completely.  Oh, well!

This project is 6x6 squares and measures just under 34 inches square.  It is machine pieced.

The quilting has all been done by hand using number 5 perle cotton in assorted colors.  It is a simple grid with big stitches.

Here you can see a bit more detail.  Oh and that lovely pink and orange sand dollar fabric... that is odd man out in this quilt.

I love Kaffe Fasset fabrics!  What a great find!  There are so many lines and not all of them go together so nice...I think it was smart of you to put in a lot of red with punches of the other prints!

Love the simple line quilting as well!
