Finished the last item I started yesterday, to replace the one I ended up hating.  So, I am once again finished crafting for this swap.

(posting mondays check-in question a wee bit early)

Check-In question for the week:

Q:  Do you re-gift?

A:  Yes, we do re-gift.  But, we do it because we know someone else would enjoy the item.  One year-some one bought me a black hoodie.  But it was so small it fit our son.  I embroidered an eagle on the back because he loves eagles.  then gave him the hoodie-he loved it.  Last year hubby recieved a really expensive watch for xmas.  but he doesnt wear watches.  so, this year we are giving the watch to my brother.  its really nice and still in the original box.  we would hate to just trash the watch, the warranty recipet that they gave us said $89 so, im sure my brother will love it.

Crafting progress-still waiting for item to arrive in the mail so i can finish crafting.  if it doesnt arrive by mid week, then im scratching that idea and going with plan b on another crafted item.  that way i can mail on saterday.

Want to learn to crochet or knit?  I have a ton of extra crochet hooks & circular knitting needles.  Will throw in some pattern books and yarn for anyone interested in a swap.

A:  Gifts aren't a huge part of our holidays, so I'm not really sure.  Usually the gifts that are given are thoughtful and meaningful, so I haven't thought of re-gifting them!

Q:  Do you re-gift?

Not usually. If it's something that is totally inappropriate for me I might just give it away (not as a gift) to someone I know will use it. Or I might just break it down and upcycle it if it's something I can do that with.

I only have two smalls to finish and then I'm ready to send! I had a very productive weekend Smiley

Not very often, the only specific example I can think of was bath products.  I got some as a gift, and as I have a ton, we re-gifted it to the kiddo's teacher.

Got quite a bit done this weekend, mostly finishing touches on things now.  Hoping to send Saturday, barring any disasters (yesterday involved a broken needle and seam ripping - I finally had to walk away).  If not, it will get sent to the Post office with hubby on monday.

A. I do, but it depends on what it is and who I give it to. I feel guilty about tossing gifts out I don't like, so I wait until I find just the right person/occasion to give them out.

Crafting away with the hopes of sending out this week. Working on my biggest project ever today for my partner....I hope she likes it Smiley

I am sure I will love it raewolo.
I bought a shipping box to hold all the presents. Nervously will all fit.

As to regifting I don't regift that often, but I get some bad presents from my Dad, and coworkers. My dad loves to shop the as seen on tv aisle at the local drug store. One year I got a ferris wheel photo frame that each basket held a picture and could move. Not the best present for a college student in a super tiny dorm room. At work we have a blind gift exchange. Last year I received cookies with pepper inside. I am allergic to pepper and after taking one bit almost had to go to the hospital.

I normally give these presents to people who lie the item or goodwill. Food gets given to friends, neighbors, or potluck whichever is easiest.
