There is an easy pattern for this cute girl ragdoll online by Missy Balance.  (I changed the directions a bit to make the boy doll.)

Susanab and I thought they would be fun to swap--Susan has already made a whole family of these dolls, and she can testify to how fun and addicting they are to make!  Because the pattern is very simple, it can be modified and embellished any way you can imagine, so we would all end up with dolls that are very different.

We are thinking of opening this swap for sign-ups on Friday (Aug. 3) and announcing partners on Thursday Aug. 9th.  With 3 weeks to craft one doll, the send-out date would be August 31.  Would you be interested?  If so, please comment below.

Leslie - Can you explain/describe your method of sewing the crotch and neck/head areas so the fabric doesn't buckle? I do clip the seams, and even if I "ease" the "v" or "L" of the line that I am sewing, I always seem to get major creases/buckles in the fabric.

Thanks.

Actually, I have those creases too Smmarrt!  On these dolls it seems most prominent in the neck.  The only thing I know that smoothes it out a bit is to stuff them very firmly.

Ladies--I don't want to disappoint you, but if we don't have at least a couple more people interested in this swap, it will have to be put on hold. I'll let you know Thursday night or Friday morning.  If this doesn't happen, maybe you will join us for another round of the monster ninni swap in about a  month.

UPDATE:  Due to insufficient interest, we are putting this idea on hold.   Thanks anyway, Sharalee, gotgrey and Smmarrt.
