Baklava has emerged as one of the most popular Middle Eastern Sweets, that has been widely accepted throughout the world. Though there are many desserts that have been developed to match the taste of Baklava like Bulaj, Kol Weshkor and Asabi. These are made with same ingredients, but Baklava has earned a special place for itself and stands out of all with its unique rich taste and the ease of making it; among all generations. for me, nothing beats 'basbousa'.
and I know a very easy way to make it:
a can of condensed milk, add oil equal to about a third of the c.milk's can, mix them well together then add a can and a half worth of semolina. mix them all up and cook in a 170 degrees Celsius oven
once done, pour sugar syrup over it (3cups sugar, 2cups water, bring to boil add a squeeze of lemon and some rose water, if you have it)
you can also decorate it with almonds, which gives a nice texture and flavour.

^^
yum
