This is sooo pretty. My Great-Aunt use to make diorama from eggs and I was fascinated by them. They always looked so delicate, as does yours.

I have actually always wanted to make one of these because my neighbor had one when I was growing up as a child. I think of this woman as a member of my family, more like an aunt or a second mother than just a neighbor though.

I'm thinking of making her diorama like this for Christmas to go along with the one she has.

I can't believe you were brave enough to put that in the post! It's lovely. I think I would be afraid to touch it.

That you were able to do that with a real egg is amazing! I tried once years ago and ended up smashing every egg Tongue This came out really cute looking Smiley

@ SailorStella - I was afraid to send it in the mail, especially since it was coming from Hawaii. That is why I probably over-did it a little with the bubble wrap and tape. lol

@ Oath Keeper - I smashed the first one I tried, but luckily it wasn't really a waste as we normally throw the shells out any ways. I used the eggy part to make banana bread with. The trick for me is that I found poking out a small part using a sharp needle helped. Then I used a pair of really sharp scissors to cut the rest. They are the scissors you get for like cutting toenails or grooming eyebrows and are a little curved.
