Cackle - you have mad polymer clay skills! Like everyone else I'm floored that the bedding is not silk. Wow! The pillows have me longing for butternut squash ravioli, though. I love the tentacles. It's all so cool!

Hahahaha! Butternut squash ravioli! That's it.....I was looking at those pillows when I made them and couldn't figure out why my mouth was watering.

I just received an amazing tin from BananaAmbush. There is so much detail that there are rather a lot of pictures....so here goes!
BA is teaching English in Korea at the moment, so this traveled a long way.

It's David Bowie! Ack! I love it!
Front and back view...

Here's what BananaAmbush came up with. (I'm roughly quoting her letter to me) She got this idea of the young David Bowie being punched in the face (which is why his pupil is permanently dilated) and suddenly receiving extra-terrestrial visions of all his future identities. The identities would be informed by a children's book he owned.

When you open up the back of his helmet, and then open his hair, you can see his lightning brain.

Inside on the right, you can see his facets and on the left you undo the circle clasps and there is the children's book that shaped his life/lives....

Detail of the book. Amazing!

What I find hysterical is that she apologized for only having access to paper and paint!
Thank you so much, BananaAmbush. I adore this, it is a real treasure.  Kiss

*snort*

Yeah, if all I had access to was paper and paint, my partner would be lucky to get a can of paint wrapped in paper.  Cheesy

My favorites are the look on the front Bowie's face and the helmet/hair/brain reveal -- fantastic.

Nicely done, Ms Ambush, especially the placement of his hands on the front cover of the tin. I think you did a great job with just a tin, paper, and paint. It's obvious that you are a Bowie fan.

I'm glad you were able to play along in the swap, and that your mom is nice enough to hand deliver that tin to you in Korea.   Cool
