Hi I am Edel and I live in Ireland, I am 45 and live with my daughter who is 17 going on 28, I am a college professor in engineering but really would prefer to sit at home all day and craft. I love to craft, I sew, make jewellery, paint, altered art, stencil and am currently learning bookbinding, I mostly like functional things. I am a packrat and so there is a lot of clutter in my house if something is functional and beautiful then its a winner. Bedlinen, storage, hoodies,t-shirts etc

No allergies, Live in IRELAND

I am going to claim EdelC for a shrine I am thinking maybe a shirt or hoodie or or or.. we shall see Cheesy .. Welcome back lady friend from Ireland Cheesy

  1/0/0

Hello all, Man it has been a lousy few months. We are Active Duty military and moved from our home in NC to Cape Cod, MA WOW umm yah if i hear the word WICKED one more time I might loose my mind! We do not live in the 80's there for they need to stop using that darn term for EVERYTHING....
I have to say I have never in my life been depressed or a depressive person however this move and all that has gone with it has about made me want meds for sure. Oy, my new house flooded 3 times due to lack of maintance in 4 years of the house sitting w/o anyone in it for so many years, my mom took ill and died but I could not make the trip to Seattle ( lung issues and could not fly) then I got in the middle of my dogs fighting over stress etc and got bit and now have to have surgery on my hand to repair the damage, I am still back on the battle cancer train, and well lets see here then my dad that helped raise me for several years of my life shot himself and I was lied to and told he had a heart attack until googled and OMG found so many confused people wondering why would one of the worlds top doctors do this etc. Anyone can I guess I learned from that. Again, was not allowed to fly to attend his funeral. So, needless to say I have called on some to bless me and my home to lift what I call a curse on my family as gesh really... for you that know me my luck sucks but I try to always be upbeat and keep on keeping on..
I have now a BEAUTIFUL craft room ( I will post pic when compleat but I am so so so excited) My grandddaughter Alana lives with me and she has one too just so darling and I am just over the moon on this really!
I have only a few allergies to speak of really... SMOKE if you do please do not send us anything that has been touched w/o washing hands first as the sticky tar stuff that sitcks to hands is what triggers Alana's breathing issues and causes many weeks in the hospital but really if you smoke inside please pass on sending her anything and if not a washable item or packaged please skip us Cry

Likes~ Well I am all over the place on this. It is going to get cold here soon and I love long sleeve tees, PLEASE NOT MAN STYLE CREW NECK YUCK, but I am very girly really. I love handcrafted items!! I do not knit or crochet well at all!! But love the art, love my hoopla wall and tesha patches, socks and just cool things for my place really....

Dislikes?? well, haha I do not like country looking at all. I think Sue bonnet is a crying shame and chickens and cows need too be in the yard not my home :/ but haha wish I had them in my yard but no I live in Military housing so that is a NO GO LOL...

I am claiming Monica (well Alana really) for a pillow for her new bedroom
(1,0,0)

About Me: My name is Laura and I live in Maryland with my husband, 3 kids, a dog, a cat, and a rabbit.

I love cross stitch and embroidery and I have a huge wall set aside for hoops. It has had many beautiful additions from swapping, but there is a smidge of room left to fill. I am a huge fan of Firefly/Serenity, steampunk, and the color blue in all shades. Most rooms in my house are white or beige with blue accents, my living room is pale green. I need some color. I'm trying to make our house feel something like a beach cottage (even tho we are about 30 minute drive from the Chesapeake bay) but the house has more of an overstuffed, cluttered, lived in feel. If you asked me whether I prefer something useful over something decorative, I would tell you I would prefer useful, but when I went through and made things that I especially want purple, I couldn't keep from making some items with no use at all purple. Yep, I confuse myself all the time.

I claim edelC for stenciled pillow cases.

1/0/1

ABOUT ME:
I am 24 years old, and I live near St. Louis, MO. I have a 1 year old daughter, and a boyfriend of 3 years. I just started a new (minimum wage and crappy) job after being a stay at home mom for two years, and I go to school full time for Graphic Design. I am very crafty and don't stick to a particular method, so it's hard to pinpoint my expertise. I just started crocheting, I paint, draw, sculpt, assemble, yada, yada. I am also currently obsessed with Joss Whedon and his brilliance.

For my Pinterest, go here: http://pinterest.com/breegy/
For my WISHLIST Pinterest, go here: http://pinterest.com/craftsterbreegy/

Butterflies, polka dots, asian influences, dragonflies, cartoony flowers, pretty much anything that goes along with that "peace, unity, and love" trend. Although, I DO enjoy tie-dye in dark colors.

I have no allergies that I know of, and hopefully I don't find out about them from your swaps!

I am claiming cloud_berry for citrus scrubs
(2,0,0)
