I love the items that so many people have made from matchboxes and because I have so many random teacups, I was wondering if anyone had tried to start a swap that used teacups as the base item. There's a famous surrealistic fur covered teacup and I've certainly seen many pin cushions in tea cups, but it seems there should be more opportunities.

Not a swap itself but I used teacups in an Alice in wonderland swap to make decorative character pieces! So many possibilities.....although posting was tricky lol!

There are lots of bird feeders made with tea cups and bird houses made with tea pots.
Candles in tea cups also.

At this point I can't think of what other alterations can be made to a tea cup.  I think I'll keep tabs on this.

I've seen some lovely mosaic panels made with broken crockery and wire wreaths using them, too.  Wonder if teacups in pieces qualify as adapted?

Well, there's the stack plates alternating with teacups or glasses, ect., cupcake stands. There's making a candle in a teacup. There's just decorating the heck out of one. There's putting a tiny fairy house on or in one. There's using it to hold a small plant. And I'm sure we could come up with even more ideas!

I am happy to organize but I won't have time or space until October. Someone else who wants to can jump in and start it.
