My entry for this quilt challenge is a Dresden Plate Wall Quilt.  This is only the second time I've made the dresden plate pattern but when I saw this challenge announced I just knew I could make it work with charm squares.  The quilt measures 18" x 18".

Hanging on my new craft room wall:

On a dark background (you can really see the squares here)

Just to prove I followed the rules, here are pictures of the plate squares, the background squares, the circle squares and the backing and batting:

My patterns (took awhile to find something just the right size for the circle, yeah for Tupperware!)

The back, showing the quilting

Love this, great job. This is the type of wall art quilt that would brighten my day every time I looked at it.

It's beautiful, Homerof2! Great use of the Charm Squares, I really like how the pieced background looks!

I really like how the pieced background looks!

Surprisingly so do I!  I wasn't sure even up until yesterday if I was going to finish this quilt for the challenge or just say forget the challenge and put the plate on a solid background.  In the end I'm glad I did go ahead, especially once I hung it on the diagonal on my wall.

I was at a quilt show in the spring with lots of vendors and one was selling bags of 'scraps' so I purchased one.  All these materials, except the orange, were in that bag and I just knew I had to use them together to make something.
