Pheonix Skateboard Deck Painting

I recently took appart an old skateboard that i'd kept from when i was younger.
Sanded it down and decided to doodle on it.
A few hours later, lots of painty messiness, glugging out of manky paint water instead of my tea,this was the final result.
Quite chuffed really as this was my first time touching acrylic paints since highschool a few years back.

Beautiful!  Would work as wall art, or random coffee table centerpiece.  I love the detail on the phoenix.

Sandroo Hehe thanks, i think it's destined as a wall piece once it's been varnished over.
It's a lot more detailed in person, camera doesn't quite capture it

Going to go raid the skip tomorrow, see if i can salvage some boards, desperate to do another now!

Loving all the detail in this and the progress pictures.

The purple surrounding the phoenix mixing into the black of the sky really makes it look like the phoenix is hot to the touch. Like that wavy line you see on the pavement in summer.

Can't wait to see more of your painting.
