Simonetta Vespucci was a renown renaissance beauty who lived in Florence and was often painted by Botticelli.
This tin was inspired by his "Portrait of a Woman" done around 1480 or so. You can see the original painting here; http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Sandro_Botticelli_-_weiBliches_Brustbild.png
