I received a gift spa towel wrap. Sadly it doesn't fit. I'd like to alter it to make it fit a plus size person with 60"hips. (Currently the bottom is 49"

I've seen this online http://www.centsationalgirl.com/2009/09/diy-spa-towel-wrap but it doesn't quite help me figure out how to enlarge it.

Any advice?

I would unpick the trim and the elastic casing, cut from top to bottom then add a contrast strip of towelling, attach new trim & remake the casing, rethread the elastic  Smiley

Thanks for the tutorial link, I think I might have a go at making myself one.

I would add 2 "stripes " 1 on the left and one on the right

Thank you for your advice

I bought a second towel in the same color and added it to the original. I also added some Velcro so I can fasten it in the front.

It fits well, and is completely adjustable Cheesy

Now I need to schedule a spa day at home to enjoy my towel wrap and other gifts.
