Between your dough and soap, I'm highly amused. LOL

I like to learn new things, and to jump straight into the middle rather than research for hours, so my information is usually quite skimpy hence I make lots of mistakes. I like to hear other people's stories, so I tell mine, but there may be a pattern going on here!

Another great story and lovely buttons.  The water colours are beautiful.  What I really would like to know is how they stand up to normal wear, and laundry of course.

They were another swap item. I personally wouldn't wash them: although they were as sealed as I could make them, the base is sooooo water soluble that I wouldn't risk it. Just one chip would allow them to disintegrate. But there are hundreds of button uses that don't require washing, so I thought it was worthwhile.

On the other hand, as soon as I've finished my next knitting project, I'm planning on using a few of the spares, so I'll try to remember to update this topic on how they go.

How cute, so I got the sculpy out, colored one with a marker, embossed, and came to a screeching halt. I will go to my boyfriend's service tomorrow and after condolences, will continue with my buttons. I found that sculpey can also be painted and impressed on other objects, so I've been on a pressing spree and can't wait to bake me some buttons. My love of buttons is growing and I wish I had elderly family members who were as frugal as me.

I absolutely love the colours! And the way that it's not entirely opaque is great Smiley
