Inspired by this lady I felted and stitched some stones. So when I joined the Make a Friend (MaF) swap and decided I wanted to be partners with RubyLynns she told me "Only if I get one of those felted rocks!" And it eveolved, went through stages fitting all 3 boxes, and ended up being the project for the third box. So without further ado, here's the lot of them:

My favorites:

But wait! Turn them over and you can include them in conversations!

At first I was thinking "Ah crap, I'm making something else that's just form, no function" and then while having a "conversation" with my husband with my kids around I realized I could cuss without my kids hearing it. If you know me, I LOVE to cuss! ...just not so much in front of my kids. I want them to think I'm better than I am, what can I say?
How to use these rocks: Speak as usual but instead of saying the bad word, hold up a rock. Some examples:

to change your image viewing settings please click here "Shut the ____ up!"

to change your image viewing settings please click here"I'm sick of your ____."

to change your image viewing settings please click here"Your mother is such a _____."

to change your image viewing settings please click here"That is a ____in' car!"

to change your image viewing settings please click here "____ smack..."

to change your image viewing settings please click here"My ___ itches!"
I need to take a ".
" it! You're burning the quesadillas!"

to change your image viewing settings please click here heeheehee...

And just for fun: every time I see MaF it reminds me of my BYU-I days where we didn't cuss, we just initialized each word we weren't supposed to say. (Yes, I'm a baaaad Mormon, shoot me) So MaF to me comes across as "Mather Fucker" So the "MaF swap" has always been, and always will be, the "Mather fuckin' swap" which makes it that much more awesome.

Also, I am so glad my kids can't read yet.

The first site I linked to has a tutorial on how to felt stones if you look down the side of her blog. The stitching is just embroidery like you would do on anything. A lot of projects on here have tutorials but most are just to show off. Usually they tell their inspiration and if you ask sometimes they will share tips and stuff. C-ster is fun. I will take your comment as a compliment: you want to copy them. Sweet! Thanks!

Spidey: I was going to show you these when we were in Denver at our van but we were all kind of going so I didn't. I was planning on posting them as my Fun in the Sun challenge entry but didn't get them done in time. Sad
Wishes... Wink

ahmagawd.  LOLz.  Jexx, you and only you would make something like this.... okay, maybe not only you, but I'm not at all surprised your brain came up with that.  They are so pretty on the one side, and so naughty on the other..... Two sides of Jexx?

Oh, Belladune, there are many more than just 2 sides to this Jexxican. If it were about me they would all have a side that made you try and turn your head upside down in consternation. But yes, the juxtaposition of the nice vs naughty together always makes me smile.

What doesn't make me smile is that Ruby only have 5 of these rocks. I think someone ripped into the box and stole the others and the PO won't do anything about it. I worked so hard on these FOR RUBY and now she doesn't get them. This may make me more sad than she does but only because I was able to witness their awesomeness first hand and she only knew about the 5 that she received. I'm thinking of making her more but I'm now frightened of the Post Office. What a terrible thing for a swap addict to be frightened of.

Lovely felted rocks.  So unusual and beautifully embroidered too.  I guess the postman couldn't resist stealing them for himself.  I'm sorry they didn't all get there but glad you took pictures of them before you sent them.  Thanks for the link to the tutorial
