After getting inspiration from here, I completed my first shoe-makeover this weekend! I had a pair of scruffy suede heels that were doomed for the dumpster but I couldn't part with (oh so comfy). So, I gathered some mod podge and a new archie comic (could not cut up my old ones, this was bad enough!) and got crafty. The trim was a bit messy, so I attached some bias tape to the top to make them appear more finished. After the mod podge dried I put 2 coats of acrylic sealant over them.

Cool. Good work! Smiley I know what you mean about the cutting. The only thing that's been preventing me from doing my first pair is my hesitation to cut into the book that I want to use...

They are really nice, it might even make me wear high heel shoes.
