It has been a really long time since I have posted on here. I finally got around to re-branding my website- and decided I could use my new logo (without the url). Plus I have gotten back into sewing over the past week or so! It has been about... six months or so.
So I decided I would showcase my three latest axolotl plush animals! I have been having people contact me from my older pictures on here, and figured it was about time I update with (hopefully) some new style change and improvement. I am also now working with a non-profit organization dedicated to axolotls (which is why I am really starting to buckle down), so defiantly more axolotls to come! I am now sewing for a cause! I don't want to post any information just yet, but I am excited to be working with such an incredible organization filled with such passionate people.
The first one is my newest idea- threw it together today to see how the pattern would work. I think it looks cute, second prototype for the mini-axolotl designs I have.
The second is one I did the other day trying out a new pattern; all hand sewn (my machine wasn't working). I threw it together with what fabric I could find.
So the last one I am showing is one I made around the holidays- a commission for my Dentist. He wanted his own body pillow for his chair, and he chose the colors himself.
I have an axolotl OBSESSION. I am constantly revising patterns, reworking patterns, etc. I am now in love with minky fleece as well.
Anyways, any ideas/ advice- feel free! I really want to make a plush of my tiger salamander, Muffin... but I don't think I can ever find fabric that looks like his skin. He has such a weird, weird color...
So anyways, I will just stick with axolotls. They are cute... and I have been sewing them for the past two years. It's neat to see how my pattern has changed over time.
Thank you all! Great to be back.
