Next weekend is my bridal shower and bachelorette party, and there is a bit of an Alice in Wonderland / tea party theme going on. I searched high and low in town for a dress to wear, but nothing really hit the spot. There are dozens of beautiful dresses online, but I don't trust size charts and I can't afford to buy multiple sizes just to send things back that don't fit. So last night (at approximately 5 pm) I decided I would have to make a dress. I think this is a record project for me because I finished about 26 hours after making that decision!!

The pattern is McCall's Vogue V8766, and all of the fabric and notions were purchased at Joann Fabrics. I got pretty lucky having a coupon for one cut of fabric, and the other was on sale. I really, really wanted something with lace. I am pretty happy except the overlay on the skirt sticks out at my hips a bit....




(My fiance messed up the full length picture, but you still can get the idea of it Wink
