I just wanted to say...hello...

I would like to share an excellent cross stitch that I received from Fancybutch today!

Petrichor is a Doctor Who reference (from one of my top 5 fave eps  ) Which is defined as "The scent of dust after rain".



Super cool gradation of blues and greys in the letters!!!

Good timing for the picture as it had just rained and was still overcast.
In addition to my list of "words" on the questionnaire I also suggested I would be pleased as punch with anything from my "wordy bits" pinterest board. This spoke to fancybutch as she said she was obsessed with the word lately!

I don't think it took 20 minutes to get a spot on the hoopla wall (I will post a picture of that when I receive the 2nd hoop  )



Petrichor made a very secure trip.
I love this idea of extra secure and adore the purple duct tape!


And also came with a very cute bee card. Did you use safety eyes for the black on the bees? Very clever indeed!

There are so many creatively beautiful hoops so far and now I have my second perfect hoop - this time from mrsc1345  

One of my words was 'crafty' - as it takes up a large percentage of my daily life

Mrsc1345 also did a 'hoop within a hoop"   How neat are those satin stitiches and with a little embroidery needle and all. I also love the blue she chose for the lettering and to paint the frame. And what a lovely font.

Hey so I received two amazing hoops. They are jaw-dropping awesome. I llllloooooovvvveeee them. Check it out:

From Birdak, my fellow Canadian, with a little canadian pride. This is a turn of phrase from our national anthem. I love how she incorporated the geometric patterns into the maple leaf. I am so super impressed with everything about this. I just love it! Thank you for such a beautiful hoop!


From Queen of marigold, my Australian partner. She knows how to pack a punch ( tee hee... get it? you literally packaged a punch...and sent it to Canada...ha ha ) this is really cool. She was apologetic in her note to me how this was her first time trying all sorts of techniques.. and I opened up the package and thought "I clearly need to practice more, if this is her first time with satin stitch..." 

What a beautiful job! I love the crayon tinting - it works perfectly in this situation.I also love the side - if you look closely it's action packed - with thuds, thwacks and whams all over the place! Thank you so much for such a great hoop!


I am just about finished queenofmarigold's hoop and I have completely redesigned birdak's hoop, so hopefully I will send out by mid to end of the week.

From another Canadian, wow, I love the maple leaf hoop!! and I like how the hoop is finished for the wham, such a great idea!  Just had to pin the maple leaf.
