FINALLY! Craftster will work on my phone and at my parents? The hamster must have fallen off the internet wheel at my house....
anyway! A few days ago I received my hoop from erica_tattoos and youguysitsawesome!!! She used one of the Frida Kahlo quotes on my list and cooked this up:

I love that fabric, I have bits I have been hoarding and now I feel like I don't have to hoard them! I might even swoop her method and make a quilted hoop sort of like this for my friend who was here when I opened it and so jealous.
A close up of the stitching on the quote

And a couple of the quilting...can you tell the height difference between the window and frame & the puffiness of the flowers??

I think it goes without saying that I LOVE this!

Wow deathbeforedishes that hoop is some kind of wonderful  Cheesy the stitching and image are gorgeous.
Erica_tattoos I am in love with what you have done with the Frido Kahlo hoop - so beautiful. I might have to be inspired (steal/borrow) the fabric border idea  Grin

wow two fabulous hoops to set the bar high!

deathbeforedishes that mary poppins hoop is so sweet and beautifully stitched, love the colours.

erica tattoos I bow down to you, I love Frida, I love that quote, and your design is so awesome!  The fabric is amazing, and the quilting works so well, the 'window'.  Blown away.  Pinning it.

I hate it when the first hoops in the gallery are so awesome I almost regret joining the swap with my amateur stitching.

Erica_tattoos veins don't have blood in them...she just has pure AWESOMENESS running through her!

Every one of her crafted items on Craftster makes me want to stop and comment, and I'm not even a member of this swap!

Wowee! Those are spectacular!  I love the mary poppins hoop! The text and image go so well together and it is just so cute. I can't help but start singing "just a spoonful of sugar..."

The Frida Kahlo hoop is inspired! Way cool use of fabric, quilting and embroidery.  I love the fabric you found as well.

This is an awesome start to the Gallery! I can't wait to see more!

What a beautifully framed piece of embroidery.  Love all the texture added by the frame.
