just posted my hoop from Megzy in the gallery--it is so fun! A big thank you to my fantastic partners; my hoops have been like Christmas in July (errr...August)--and thank you for being so patient while I finish up yours! I am still stitching away at Erica_tattoos piece and although I guess I *could* send Megzy's, I feel like it just needs a couple real finishing touches before it hits the mail....

How is the quality of those hoops? I'd be willing to buy that set if it is a higher quality than I can find around here, with really flimsy wood and often, very uncircular hoops. (apparently, uncircular isn't a word but you know, on the bigger hoops, they are more like uneven ovals when they are supposed to be circular.

Just got a pm, ilovemybrachiosauru s sent my hoop! 

I have both of mine started, I've been going back and forth working on them.  Working one, one night and the other one the next night.  I made some good progress on Alexampersandra's last night.

I made the grievous error of counting horribly, horribly incorrectly. (I do this every fourth or fifth project... you'd think I would have learned how to COUNT by now.) So I will be restarting tonight. At least I caught my mathematical incompetence early-ish this time... Once I didn't realize it until the very, very end!

To finish my hoop I just trim the fabric in a bigger circle, gather it together. Then I take a piece of felt and cut it into a circle slightly smaller then the hoop and stitch it onto the back with a pretty colored thread. you can stitch a message on the felt before hand if you want too. Its super easy and looks nice. you can do a fancy stitch too if you want, though I usually don't!

Haha, yes, you get a cross-stitch! You caught me  I thought about attempting embroidery (I never have) but I haven't cross-stitched anything in a few months, and besides, I have enough on my swapping plate without adding first-time embroidery to it, too!
