Has anyone else settled on a font and then started and then realised it is nowhere near as stand-out as you want it to be.  Went back to the drawing board and hoping I am happier with it this time!!

YES. fortunately i still haven't stitched it... i'm waiting for my idea to come and finishing the image first.

I haven't bought a hoop yet (migraines all last week, out of town on the weekend) but I know my layout is going to frustrate me, but in doing so, teach me new things, because I'm so used to using square/rectangular frames for all my stitching. I'm branching out, hooray!

I have been trying a square frame too - It's a little odd to get used to using it. I'm not sure I will use it much but I have heard others say they enjoy working with them so I thought it was worth trying.

Gah! I started stitching last night... Hated it...... I normally cross stitch, but was going to try embroidery for this swap. (First time). It really hasn't worked out, so I guess I'm going to be cross stitching this after all......

Hoop #1 is done! Now to figure out how to transfer my design to my fabric for #2...

One of my hoops is completed to what I had planned but I'm not sure if I like it enough to send it to someone - I either need to add something to 'spice it up' or make something different.  My second hoop is coming along nicely.

Grrr! Tried this twice now, and it's really not coming together how I had pictured it... I think I might have to go back to the drawing board completely and try a different quote.....

All my stitching is done - now I just have to add the finishing touches, trim everything up, and get it in the post... at this rate, early next week it will have to be.
