Wink Hi everyone , I got this great black and white fabric for only 2 $ a yard , and it was prefect for the dress Id been thinking of ....let me know what you think . This dress is almost the same as My recent pleated zip up jumpsuit only I sewed the straps up instead of leaving them to tie ... I pleated  it the same but made it shorter and added a ruffled under layer

bonus shot , My vintage Montgomery Ward 7 jewel zigzag machine

thanks for looking ,
have a great night /day
Jayne

SO cute! It seems like a bit of a departure from your usual style (or maybe just finding it's inspiration about 2 decades earlier...) but it's fantastic. The shape is great on your petite frame too. Love.

Lovely.  You have such a good eye for the right fabric in all your designs.  I do love looking at your work.

there are a few differences in the dresses but not many .. I lined My dress with the same polka dot fabric as the belt , But I lined Miss Emaleighs with a white cotton with tiny black flowers ( didnt have enough polka dot left)... also I did a slight cap detail on the shoulders of Mine where i allowed a small square of the lining fabric to be folded over and sewn kind of like an epaulet .. for Emas I made them more like small bows and added a cute star button to the center ....the mini dress turned out perfect and she loves it .. In fact she insisted on wearing to play outside and dirtied it all up lol  Grin or Id have more pics .. I wanna go to the park and take some twin pics of both of us in our matching dresses soon

the one thing I wish I would have done different is make it about an inch or inch and a half more room in the belly .. you know how lil kids bellys can swell up when they have a big meal .. so the dress fits just right on an empty stomach but gets a lil snug after a big dinner lol ( still wearable , but Im sure it would be more comfy with a few extra inches Smiley  .. oh well when she grows out of it , it will be passed along to her younger sister Smiley

Both dresses are wonderful! I love the use of the different patterns. It all comes together nicely.
