Too bad I don't have any creepy yarns, eh?

I did spin yesterday, though. As much as I would love to participate in the TdF it ain't happening. But I did get this spun:

It's Organic Merino. I don't think I like using Organic Merino. It's kind of foamy feeling and doesn't join very easily.
Also, I managed to get my singled tangled while they were still on the bobbin. How'd I do it? I dunno.
It's about 100 yards, 4 oz, and n-plied.

Also, Look at the grass! I have grass in my yard! I HAVE GRASS IN MY YARD! Isn't that exciting!

Well, as to the organicness of the merino, it may just be the beast, and not the actual raising.   Beautiful yarn, though.   And the grass is also lovely Cheesy  Happy fibre friday the 13th!!

Jexxican: that yarn looks great! So soft and squishy looking, though I'm sorry it wasn't more fun to actually spin.

I've been working on using some respun, recycled yarn (you know, unravelled from a thrift store sweater, redyed, spun to add more twist back in). I just took apart a 30% cashmere, 70% lambswool sweater for that purpose, so it's been showing up in lots of permutations.

Carded woolen single (angelina, mohair, wool), plied with recycled cashmere/wool yarn:

Merino roving and recycled cashmere/wool:

It's bad enough wasting time, without killing it.

Eeee! Everyone has such lovely yarn Cheesy That makes me happy. I have a few bobbins worth of yarn, and my old Lazy Kate with three old Ashford bobbins arrived today, which is great. It needs cleaning, which will happen tomorrow. But I don't feel like taking pictures of my bobbins today. Happy Fiber-Friday the 13th!

Wow- it's been awhile! I know it's technically no longer friday, but I have here 236 yards of superwash marino, sport to DK weight... I dyed it myself and navajo plied it. I'm thinking some wacky socks?

Now when you're finished say, "MY, what a lovely tea party!"
