Very inspired by Moonrise Kingdom and I created this lovely 3 inch badge on 22-count brown aida cloth. This worked out great because embroidering a colored background is very long. The raccoon is made of felt and the rest is vintage DMC thread in various colors including 'Blanc Neige', their really bright white thread. More photos including the back on Flickr.

I had to see this movie opening day and as I watched it I swear I thought, "I have to make one of those badges". LOL! Awesome!

I had to check the web to discover the  Khaki Scouts of North America, Moonrise Kingdom sounds like a fun family movie. Great job on the badge.
