Hello!  I've had a membership here for ages, but I am attempting to be more social.  So I thought I'd post some pictures of some of the dolls I've made.  Forums count as social, right?

This is Mercy.  She is actually the first of her kind, one of my Gossamer Girl dolls.  I wanted to design some handmade dolls that could wear American Girl doll clothing, but with my particular aesthetic. I am also into ball jointed dolls, and these have a similar perspective.  But with yarn.  And much cheaper clothing available.

I'm not sure if she really belongs here.  She is crocheted, but she doesn't have the same look as most amigurumis.  I started with more classic looking creatures, but these days I'm just a dollmaker who happens to use crochet.  I love how I can get detail in the shaping with it.

Mercy was the first doll I was really pleased with.  I made her clothing too, except for her shoes.  I feel like she is something to be proud of, but I would really like to hear if other people like her as well.

Love her face!  I also like bjd, but I haven't had time to mess with mine for over a year.  Are you on Den of Angels?

I love her.  She looks like a real doll that a little girl could play with and love.  She has such lovely clothes too.

I am!  I'm Cayora on there as well.  I haven't been playing with my BJDs as much since I feel like I've gotten good at these dolls.  I really love not having to worry about scratching faceups or breaking off fingers.

Thank you all for your kind words about her.  I do have more dolls like her that I'd like to post in the future.  I'm really glad that people like my work!

That's funny! I've got same situation, I've already join on Craftster for over a years,
and only had one forum thread posting yet ;p
Anyway, you did a great job on her! I love her expression, and her embroidered eyes. So neat!
And her outfit looks beautiful too ^^b

Thanks so much!  It can be hard for me to stop lurking and engage.  I do it in meatspace too.  Thanks for taking the time to comment!  I hope we can both be more active in things.
