This year I participated in a craft sale for the American Cancer Society's Relay for Life.  I'm part of a team called Jana's Angels in memory of my boyfriend's mother.  I figured, since she crocheted and crafted, why not do a craft sale booth in her honor Smiley  I didn't reach the $100 mark, but sold just under at $99.  Not too bad, considering each drink cozy was sold for a dollar Smiley  I also sold bookmarks for $1 as well, but only sold two of those.  One rapunzel scarf did sell for $10 which was pretty neat too!  Here are the pictures!

What a wonderful idea. She'd be so proud to see how much you raised through the crafts she loved.

Wonderful! But at $1 each cozy, I think you under priced the item Shocked

I know they were overpriced underpriced (typo), but in my area, these do not sell incredibly well, and I didn't want to be stuck with the large inventory afterwards.  I figured since they were made out of yarn too, and it was ninety degree weather, the low price would most likely make them a selling point Smiley

great idea. we are planning for relay here in a couple of months. we've donated to a silent auction, but selling smaller items individually might be a new way to go.
