"Shoplifting" in my Grandmother's closet, I found a big ol' 90's lookin' jumper.
The memories of putting on denim jumpers when I was a little kid made me cringe.
I still don't understand how people didn't throw tomatoes or shoes at me. The way jumpers looked then was just...ew.
But when I saw it, I immediately imagined what I could turn it into. I stuffed it in my hobo bag and ran away.
Got home, cut it, sewed it to fit my ribcage, and slapped on fringe. BAM!

The original image was after I cut and sewed. I was too impatient to wait, but you get the picture of how ugly it was.

PS: Yes, I asked my Grandmother if I could have her jumper. Stealing is wrong kids, even from familia.
QUESTION: I think I should change those buttons. Where can I find some tack buttons? What color/style? Suggestions?  Huh Thanks!

Very awesome! The hat totally completes the look Cheesy

If you really hate the buttons, you could make fabric yoyos to cover each one. I'd use an upholstery or quilting thread to sew the yoyos because of strength and wear issues.

This is amazing!   I've wanted a fringe vest for a while, and this is oh-so-doable.  I might have to give it a go myself.
