Thankyou! I made them out of polymer clay of course  Grin I use vaseline as a release. You can use polymer clay to make just about any sort of plug you want, so long as you use a good release to prevent contact between the surfaces.

Thanks for the info. I think i might try it for some Christmas presents.

You're so welcome, good luck with the presents!

Thankyou Diane and GoatGoddess =)

This is so fantastic. I've admired these on etsy a million times and never thought of making a case myself *facepalm*

These are such cute little steampunk pieces and I love the idea of adding an eye.

Those are awesome! You should make a tutorial on how to make the plugs and bake them and such! It would be epic!

Thankyou Awen, Wan, and X!

No tut needed to make the plugs, it's a simple matter of matching the dimensions of the drive, you simply need something to 'hold' the space while making the sleeve and curing.  Like was said in another post, so many things you can use. I happen to use PC and it is literally a rectangular piece of PC, nothing more complicated than that. If your drive is longer, you probably want to consider other materials as a long piece of PC may be hard to remove even with a release.

This is just so cool. It really makes my fingers itch, to try making some on my own! (However, I fear mine wouldn't look nearly as awesome as yours  Smiley )
