Needle-felted Felted Toucan Badge

When I was partnered with noooitaremybirthday for the Felt Badge Swap R2, she really emphasized her love of toucans. With my habit of making felted birds, I knew this was the direction I wanted to go with one of her badges.

The toucan was needle-felted so that the backside was flat, but it still has a 3D-ish look. Then I attached it to the felt leaves by tacking it around the edges with almost undetectable stitches I really like how I managed to get the wool fibers to flow around like feathers should lay.
