Gnomes mushroom forest - Mini Art Quilt

Hi!

This is the second quilt I made for the MAQ round 5
It is a Angel-quilt, made for CraftyMamaBee.



CMB is so nice to craft for! She had a mushroom mugrug on her Pinterest and I went with that!
It needed some spicing up, so I wanted to add a little owl. I made the owl sit in a tree and used a piece of driftwood I found on a holiday in Norway.



Then I wanted to have some gnomes living there! My MIL made me the cutest little gnomes of wooden sticks and I shortened one of them, drilled a little hole and added two gnomes.



There are some beads on the ladybug on the mushroom and a few beads in the air. Makes it look a bit magical (I think).
Just for the fun I added googly eyes, haha who knows what creature is hiding in the bushes....



The result is a bright, cheery and fun MAQ which my partner liked! A last picture, lots of sunshine so it is very bright. But this way you can see the colours best.

Excellent mini-quilt, wendiek!  I love the addition of the driftwood and the gnomes - so original - and those googly eyes!  Very clever and very well made!

Ohhh, so cute, Wendie!!  Wonderful colors and themes--yes the gnomes are wonderful (what a nice MIL you have!) but I especially love the addition of the driftwood and the cute little owl!  You did a great job of incorporating a lot of different and interesting elements.  I know CraftyMamaBee must have swooned when she got it!

It was so great to make this MAQ. I got so inspired and my fantasy could go wild with this theme.
Making something cute is my favourite thing to do.
