I've made many Full Moon trees over the years and last week I had an email asking about a specific custom piece using a deep red moon. So I found some really lovely red carnelian agate beads that are semi-translucent and have the most gorgeous richness of color to them and used them to make my new "Blood Moon" tree. Then, I liked the custom order one so much, I made two more - in both in non-tarnish, sterling silver plated wire AND in a non-tarnish yellow gold brass wire.  Cheesy

This tree is bare of leaves like one would see in Winter and features a large, red agate gemstone round bead representing a blood moon behind the branches. According to folklore, Octobers full moon is called the Hunters Moon or sometimes the Blood Moon. It gets its name from hunters who tracked and killed their prey by autumn moonlight, stockpiling food for the winter ahead. During a lunar eclipse, the moon actually appears to be a deep red in the sky as a result of the suns light interacting with the Earths atmosphere.

As always, thoughts and feedback welcome!

The queen of the Tree of Life strikes again!  Just when I thought you couldn't come up with anything new, here are these beauties.  Gorgeous, I'm just loving how you have used the single focal bead here for the moon.

Wow, I love them! I've always rather liked tree of life pendants, and wintery ones like these are particularly pretty to me. Plus you did such a fantastic job with them. Cheesy

As always, your tree pendants make me DROOL, and also incredibly jealous.  My wire-wrapping skills are...lacking.  Amazing!

Aw thanks! I've made so many over the years, I've just gotten to really know the wire. My first ones were nowhere near this nice. LOL

Thanks! I couldn't decide if I liked it better in gold or silver - so I made one of each! Wink
