Holy cow!  You know I care much, much less about your room than you, although the work you've put in is amazing.  I think you're amazing and strong and exactly what women should remember about themselves.  My mum was in a relationship like the one you described for years.  It took me growing up to understand what she went through being a single mother and deciding to to be alone rather than letting us be abused.  One day your children will understand just how strong you are and just how much you love them.  I am SUPER proud and I think your bedroom is the absolute perfect way to redirect your attention back to yourself.  You deserve it.  You and your family deserve all of the happiness the world has to give.  Have you thought about the kids rooms yet?  It would be an awesome way for you guys to bound as a newly situated family?  Maybe, "My ex-douchebag cheated on me so we vacationed to space, the past, under the sea, ect, ect."  Themed kids rooms are the best.    I wish you luck and happiness.
